Design Process


For our game we made numerous patterns of varying themes and difficulty. The two grid sizes that we went for are 3 by 3 and 4 by 4. The patterns are all designed with the each grid in mind. We needed to make sure that each gesture presented in one box is doable by the human body. In previous iterations we did have certain pattern with perhaps three lines independent from each other coming from three different angles. This made it extremely difficult for a person to do. The first pattern has a hourglass shape and is 4 by 4. Even with a larger grid dimension, it wouldn't be hard to do with the simpler shape. Pic 4 represents a maze that the players need to construct from the gestures and then perhaps solve. Pic 6 is less abstract and is pretty much a person. Through this we can try to keep every pattern unique and fun.
